Page 1 Students in allied health fields take a variety of classes, including laboratory and science classes. Allied health professionals work as members of a team to diagnose, treat, and coordinate patient care. Students in training to be health care professionals also work in groups to do research, complete projects, and perform lab work. Most allied health students have their grade based on a number of deliverables, including lab tests, quizzes, exams, and research papers. Clinical is a chance for allied health students to work in labs or with patients, and to make the transition from being students to health care professionals. In some programs, clinical is interspersed with classes, while in others it is the last thing that students do to fulfil all their requirements and earn their degree. |
