Associate in Arts Online
Students use the Associate in Arts degree as a first step toward earning their bachelor's degree, as well as a resume-building university credential. Students enhance their communication skills, and strengthen their ability to analyze issues and think critically, valued traits for any employer and useful for pursuing education in a variety of fields. The degree is confirmation that students have completed half a bachelor of arts degree program at the University of Delaware and guarantees eligibility to continue their studies toward a bachelor's degree. Nursing Programs for the RN (RN to BSN and RN to MSN)
These programs build on basic nursing knowledge and enhance nursing practice in an increasingly complex society, allowing registered nurses who prefer a flexible, non-traditional educational approach to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing degree. Students may join the programs through their work site, community college or as individuals.
Graduate Nursing Programs
The university's School of Nursing also offers graduate programs in distance learning formats that lead to a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with a concentration in Health Services administration and an MSN-Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) degree with a concentration in Adult Health or Pediatrics. A Master of Science (MS) with a major in Health Services Administration is also available.

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE)
This 30-credit, non-thesis program satisfies the continuing education needs of working engineers and recent graduates who want to broaden their electrical engineering foundation before starting an industrial career. The 30 required credits include six credits of foundation electrical engineering courses, plus 24 credits of advanced technical courses related to the student's area of interest. Foundation courses available in distance format include signal processing, devices and materials, optics and electromagnetics.
Master of Mechanical Engineering (MEM)
This 30-credit, non-thesis master's program is available via distance learning and has the same core courses as a traditional master's program. The core courses cover solid mechanics, dynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics and engineering mathematics. Distance learning electives include composite materials, combustion and materials.
Graduate Certificate in Composite Materials
The Certificate Program in Composite Materials is offered by the university's Department of Mechanical Engineering and Center for Composite Materials and is administered through the Engineering Outreach Program. It is designed for engineering and science professionals who are new to the field of composite materials or wish to expand their knowledge of composite materials. Students should hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or the sciences.
Graduate Certificate in Socially Responsible Apparel Business
The Socially Responsible Apparel Business Graduate Certificate provides the foundation of knowledge needed to manage international production and sourcing of apparel, textiles, and footwear in ways that are socially responsible and sustainable. The competencies and skills taught in the courses are based on research with industry leaders and professionals who lead nongovernmental organizations and civil society groups with a stake in the global apparel business.
The certificate is comprised of nine, one-credit courses that are offered through the Internet, each taken over a five week period. Students select a Labor or Environment track. A set of seven core courses are taken by all students and two specialized courses are taken for each selected track. If students wish, they may pursue both tracks by taking all four specialized courses in addition to the seven core courses.
The certificate program is offered by the University of Delaware Department of Fashion & Apparel Studies and was developed by a team of faculty from the University of Delaware, Cornell University, and Colorado State University based on work supported by the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Dietetic Internship Program
The Dietetic Internship is a collaborative effort between the university and the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH). This post-baccalaureate certificate program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education of the American Dietetic Association and delivered online. It is takes up to 40 interns annually.
This internship provides dietetic students with an opportunity to increase their knowledge of food and nutrition science, and to acquire competencies needed to practice dietetics in a variety of settings. Upon successful completion of the program, each student will receive a verification of completion certificate and be eligible to take the Registration Examination for Dietitians.
