Since 1978 California Southern University has been meeting the educational needs of working adults who are not able attend traditional education institutions due to professional, personal, or financial constraints. The university recognizes that work, personal obligations, and lack of accessibility create obstacles that prevent degree-seeking adults from reaching their goals. The university has responded to this need by providing access to a high quality education through distance and online learning. Students from all over the world who are interested in pursuing degrees in business, psychology, liberal arts and law enroll at California Southern University.
California Southern University provides high quality, market-driven undergraduate and graduate degree programs to adult learners throughout the world using an online education system. There is no need to attend classes, worry about residency fees, or cost of living fees. Students are provided the freedom and flexibility of distance learning while cultivating an environment of academic integrity. The online program provides monitoring, evaluating, and reporting of the student’s academic progress through a faculty mentoring relationship for each course. Students are provided with the opportunity to understand facts and ideas, to think analytically, and to reason and express conclusions clearly.
Each student is individually advised and counseled through direct contact with an Academic Advisor, Learner Liaison, and Faculty Mentor by phone, mail, and e-mail to guide students toward achieving their educational objectives in the shortest time possible. The university provides its students with an online library where students have access to descriptive listings of top print sources in various academic disciplines as well as links to Internet resources.
California Southern University has flexible course completion dates as new classes begin on the first of each month. They also boast low tuition costs (as low as $120 a credit for undergrad courses and $240 a credit for graduate courses), interesting and relevant courses, no residency requirements, no entrance exams, year-round schedules, and one hundred percent online learning.

Since 1978, California Southern University's administrative and academic offices have been located in Orange County, California. Orange County is a beautiful area that has a population of 3,121,251 and a Mediterranean climate.
The institute is located close to the Santa Ana Freeway (Interstate 5) and Costa Mesa Freeway (55 Freeway) and is within minutes of many beaches, Disneyland, South Coast Plaza (the 13th largest shopping center in the world), and the Aquarium of the Pacific and Anaheim Convention Center. The John Wayne (SNA) Airport is the local domestic airport and is a short drive from the California Southern University's graduation hall. For international students and graduates, Los Angeles International (LAX) Airport is 45 minutes away.

| Program Delivery and Student Support

To complete the programs, each student has access to a personalized CalSouthern Learning Center website. Students are able to complete assignments online, in addition to interacting with other students and professors.
Most of the information required to complete courses is available online, but students will utilize other resources such as textbooks, CD-Roms and DVDs.
Students' computers must meet certain technical specifications to be able to complete online courses. They must also have reliable email access, and the capability to send and receive attached files. Learners must also be able to navigate the World Wide Web.
CalSouthern recommends the following hardware requirements for PC systems:
Pentium 300 MHz or faster processor
Minimum 32 MB RAM
Minimum 2 GB free hard disk space
CD-ROM drive
28.8 Kbps or faster modem
Color monitor, keyboard, mouse
Students should also have the following software to complete assignments and 'attend' online courses:
