Program Overview
Chaminade University offers four business degree programs for full-time undergraduates, including two multi-disciplinary programs.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Administration

Chaminade's undergraduate business administration program has many opportunities for students to engage in hands-on learning which provides them with the knowledge and skills that are essential for working in real-world organizations. Students will participate in case studies, internships, community-based service projects, and in professional associations. Throughout the duration of the program, students will develop the ability to work with others in professional settings, and they will become skilled in technology and information resources to make sound, socially responsible decisions at work. Programs participants also learn core business functions, structures, and the processes of organizations. Coursework will also integrate liberal arts curriculum to further students' skills in critical thinking, using theory for taking action, and communicating with clarity and impact.

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting

The BS in Accounting degree provides students with the theoretical and practical knowledge to succeed in the business world when they graduate. Students are prepared for employment as accountants or related positions directly after completion of the program. Chaminade accounting students receive hands-on work experience during the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) project and included tax clinics. The FAFSA project involves marketing majors and accounting students who help low-income and immigrant families fill out FAFSA forms, enabling these students a chance at a college education. The tax clinics allow accounting students to get work experience with real-life clients, and assist homeless, low-income or immigrant families with tax issues.

BA in Integrated Marketing (Offered with the Communication Department)

Students enrolled in Chaminade's Integrated Marketing Program will learn about the newest strategies of communicating and building relationships with consumers through the internet, sponsorships and events. Program participants will also receive instruction in the traditional communication tools of advertising and personal selling. Marketing graduates will understand how creativity is driven by strategy with opportunities for hands-on experience using the tools of the trade: video, print and web. Marketing students also receive real-world public relations experience by promoting valuable service-learning projects that benefit poor families and the homeless, such as the FAFSA project. Opportunities to participate in competitions are also included in this program, often with classmates in a team. Chaminade teams have won national awards at the American Advertising Federation student competition.

BA in International Studies: International Trade (Offered with the History & Political Science Department)

This degree program is a multi-disciplinary approach that gives students the basic principles and awareness to understand international business, and to engage in business activities in an international environment. The program is jointly offered by the Business Department and the History and Political Science Department. Courses include study business, history, political science, economics, finance and marketing. All students enrolled in this program are required to complete two semesters of a second language or prove proficiency in a second language. Students are also encouraged to spend time in study and/or work overseas. .
Buildings and Facilities
Within the last eight years, Chaminade University has renovated many of its older buildings and added seven new buildings for classrooms and departmental use.

The Sullivan Family Library, completed in 2008, is the latest addition to the campus. The 30,000 square foot structure is the largest academic facility built at Chaminade since its founding and functions as a library and an information services resource center. The climate-controlled building features a 40-station computer lab, more than 70,000 print books, 240 print journals, 34,000 electronic books and 19,000 online journals.

Chaminade has six dormitory buildings for students - three on-campus and three off-campus. Hale Lokelani, Hale Pohaku and Kieffer Hall are the university's on-campus co-ed residences, and Chaminade's three off-campus residences are all within walking distance of the university. Each of Chaminade's dormitories provide comfortable, safe and secure living quarters that add to the community, and help ease students' lives and their academic scholarship.

University and Location
Chaminade University, a private Catholic Marianist college and the only Catholic university in Hawaii was founded in 1955. The university is located in the Kaimuki neighborhood of Honolulu on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Close to Waikiki beach, the initial building of the campus was influenced by Spanish Mission architecture and resulted in many of the institution's white stucco structures with red-tiled roofs. Looking out from campus, the Diamond Head volcanic tuff cone, the ocean and the horizon are visible, especially from the dorms on the upper campus slopes.

The university offers students the choice of 23 undergraduate degree programs on their main Honolulu campus, seven graduate degree programs, and several degree opportunities for working adults, through evening and weekend courses in satellite locations and online. In addition, Chaminade offers their students an educational environment complete with professional faculty, small class sizes, and a safe campus.

Chaminade University guarantees students will benefit from the institution's imbedded history of academic excellence, professional preparation, close involvement with professors and classmates, supportive campus atmosphere, vibrant campus life, opportunities to contribute to society while still in school, and multi-cultural awareness and understanding.
