  • Pennsylvania College of Technology's plastics and polymer engineering technology program runs a mobile plastics lab that travels to high schools to expose students to the plastics industry.


  • With a grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Arizona State University have designed bioreactors in order to make biofuels for conversion to military jet fuel.


  • Students from Bluefield State College's School of Engineering Technology and Computer science just won the world championship "Autonomous Challenge" race at the 2008 Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition in Oakland, Michigan. They defeated teams from more than 30 other institutions, including Georgia Tech and the University of Hosea, Japan.
