Program Overview |
The Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas offers a doctor of philosophy degree in business administration or economics. Areas of concentration in business administration are accounting, finance, information systems, management, and marketing. General requirements include completion of coursework, a comprehensive examination in an area of emphasis, and the submission and oral defense of an original dissertation. Programs begin in August, are full-time, and require a minimum of four years to complete. PhD programs in business at the University of Arkansas are highly selective and competitive.

Three buildings make up the business campus at the University of Arkansas. There are the business administration building where all faculty and departments are houses, the state-of-the art Willard J. Walker Hall where the fourth floor is reserved for graduate students only, and the Donald W. Reynold Center where conferences, workshops, and guest speakers are held.
